Copycat Cheese It Crackers Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 mixing spoon or fork
  • 1 cookie sheet
  • 1 silicon mat or parchment paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tbsp butter softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 Tbsp ice water
  • 1 tsp course sea salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix the cheese, butter and salt until well combined
  • Slowly add the flour while mixing until dry "pebbley" consistency
  • Slowly add the ice water until thoroughly blended into a dough ball
  • Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour
  • Preheat oven to 375 ℉ (190.5 ℃)
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and roll the dough onto it no thicker than 1/16" (about 1.6mm)
    **NOTE: The thinner, the crispier!
  • Cut into 1" squares and poke a small hole in the center of each
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
